a luxury Chinese dinner in midvalley

one friend from Shanghai recommend a restaurant in midvalley (actually the location is in the new shopping mall that next to midvalley) which named DinTaiFung(鼎泰丰). the coolest thing is the print on the back of their tissue, it says something like 'the new york times lists DinTaiFung as one of the top 10 restaurants worldwide.(1993)'

 

 

as the title indicates, this restaurant serves relatively authentic Chinese delicacies and, i have to say they have the best fried rice in Kuala Lumpur, but yummy food and comfortable environment and services cost money.

Christmas Eve

the story starts at 11:30pm when two friends and I were on the way to the new shopping mall Tropicana, Mr.A called and invited me to 1u to join the xmas count down. As Tropicana was already closed when we arrived, I accpetted his invitation and 3 minutes later he came to pick me.

as a matter of fact, we didn't see any celebration in 1U but, instead, we drove to the curve where a lot of cars paked. The time we reached the curve was 12pm, the count down was over(if it exists)

the atmosphere was a little pungent. during their crazy shotting battle, a really dog fight came out and the poor security guard couldn't do much to stop them.

as i said the other day, tropicana city mall is open now, though a lot of shops are still empty. I dropped by there this afternoon, very quite and cool and empty ... but the x'mas tree is nice, and the Santa girls are smiling nicely.

and later we arrived at uptown to have some dinner, Mr. F pointed a popular Chinese cafeteria and these are the things we ate. among all these i should highly recommend the roaster duck, it is one of the few yummy delicacy that impress me. The cafeteria is called 福建面茶餐室. really worth a try.

X'mas light-tree @ 1utama, this simple and crude (compare to past years) decoration shows a sign of bad economy, 'cause christmas is the second most important festival in this country.

rotiboy - they bake a kind of bread that smells like a mixture of soy bean sauce and butter (ok, may be im wrong with the ingredient )

time to go home,im feeling so well when the street inside the shopping mall become clean and clear at a late time

the commuting is just killing me

(waiting for the bus desperately)

i had an appointment with Mr. A in the fitness first, Manulife at 3pm, knowing that the bus in Malaysia never come on time, i went to the bus stop early at 2.30pm. but situation is still beyond expectation - 2 other poor guys and i were sitting there and keeping out face toward the direction that the bus will come from for 40+min.

what happened after 40min? i called Mr. A to cancell the plan and back home immediately. Who knows when will the nasty bus come -_- 凸

not always so lucky

morning when i walked out of gate of condo, a bus appeared a few miles away and was stuck in the jam, sure i easily catch it up. There are very few people in the bus, it's not always like that, hmm, so i wonder this is a possitive sign indicating today should be my lucky day~

When waiting for friend to lunch, i came across a new friend who use an HTC touchscreen & built-in keyboard. On the way home, captured this huge AD

Christmas is far away but shopping centres like Ikano has began to decorate (sorry, i dont know where it really is, the curve or Ikano?)

under the suggestion of Mr. A, i grabbed a Chicken set from Kenny Rogers. Well, i was shocked by the size of this Rm16.70 (tax included) set.

it become a hard time for me, every coincident makes me crazy.

Saturday should be a day to hang out with good friends, but today appears not so friendly to me. There is a mysterious power that stop me from hanging out with my buddies: Mr. H is enjoying holidays in Shanghai; Mr. J and Mr. A have to accompany gf for the rest of the day; Mr. F is preparing for IELTS; Mr. R disappeared since last night; Mr. K gave me an impression that he will be very indecisive at last moment before we set off.

On the other side, Ms. Z went back to China and never heard from her; Ms. S has no intention to watch movie at all; Ms. P didn't see my sms untill 1min before i post this article; Ms. P may have many ideas for fun, but im not a clubbing creature.

Luckily, Mr. L is as free as I am, and we went to workout in the gym at uptown. But a bad news is, his gf will come to visit him from europe and stay here for 20+ days, which means i will be much more bored than what i can imagine....

she missed our email

our economy lecturer Ms. Joyce Leu is quite a modern lady compare to the super old fashion Dr. Alen Chew, she collected our email address in the first class in order to send us the latest tutorial questions and other material timely.

However, some classmates and i didn't get the emails she had sent on Tuesday, it's not in my inbox neither spam, I guess it's the problem between gmail and her college email account.

Finally i asked a friend to forward his received mail to my box, but what about next time, i still need to figure this stupid technology issue out
